Brian M. Green
Executive Director, Community Development
Brian was introduced to advocacy in grade school as he assisted his mother and her colleagues
as they mimeographed flyers and stuffed envelopes for the League of Women Voters. Whether
it was just the exposure to toxic fumes or paper cuts, this apparently made an indelible
impression on him.
Fast forwarding through the decades, Brian directly engaged in and led advocacy efforts for
HIV/AIDS awareness, LGBTQ equality and health, as well as advocacy and public affairs in areas
of sexual and reproductive health. These groups included: ACT UP Philly, Univ. of Delaware
LGBT Student Union, Queer CampUS, National LGBT Health Coalition, National LGBT Tobacco
Control Network, AIDS Treatment Advocacy Coalition, Fight-the- Right Network, Philadelphia
LGBT Police Liaison Committee, Pennsylvania Health Access Network, and AccessMatters.
