Rackel Nderi
Associate Director, Community Development
Rackel has previous experience working as human resources manager, most recently at a nonprofit in Philadelphia and previously at a nephrology medical practice. She graduated with a BS in health policy and administration from Penn State University and is currently pursuing her master of public health degree at West Chester University. Rackel also is an immigrant from Kenya and draws a lot of her passion and drive from this experience. She lives in Philadelphia with 2 roommates and the sweetest dog, Frankie.
Sara Hayes
Community Leadership Team
Prior to joining the Health Union team, Sara led patient engagement and education programs at the American College of Physicians. She is dedicated to helping patients feel empowered and engaged as active partners in their own care. She uses her past experience as a patient counselor to better understand the individual experiences of patients and help provide a comforting environment for them to learn and share their stories. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Temple University and a master of public health degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Amna Rizvi
Executive Director, Community Development
In her role, Amna uses her background in health communications to understand and cater to the needs of people living with challenging health conditions. Amna holds a master’s degree in public health and has many years of experience in the government and nonprofit sector. She uses her experience and skills to build and sustain communities where patients feel empowered to advocate for themselves, get the most up-to-date information about their health conditions, and share experiences in order to improve the quality of their lives.
Reggie Hall Jr.
Community Engagement Lead
Reggie has experience building and engaging communities, most recently at the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia. There, he managed middle market executives (annual revenue $10M–$1B) seeking to grow their businesses.
Patty Day
Community Engagement Lead
Patty received her BS in English from SUNY Oneonta and her master’s degree in city and regional planning from Temple University. Before joining Health Union, she worked with local, regional, and national organizations to ensure that the Greater Philadelphia region benefits from an educated and skilled workforce while also contributing to bolstering the region’s competitiveness and economic growth. She served as an adjunct professor for three years at Temple University and designed the undergraduate course Healthy Community Design and Development, which focused on the social disparities of health and opportunities to create healthier communities.
